Meet the Instructors!

There are several instructors to support your learning of programming for data science. The following are some brief descriptions about them.

** Derek Steer**

Derek will introduce you to the SQL language and how to use SQL queries to analyze data in relational databases. Derek is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mode Analytics. He has worked as a data analyst in various companies, including Microsoft, Yammer and Facebook.

** Juno Lee**

Juno will introduce you to the data analysis process and how to use Python to analyze data. As a data scientist, Juno built a recommendation engine to personalize online shopping experiences, computer vision, and natural language processing models to analyze product data, and tools to generate insight into user behavior.

Karl Krueger

Karl is a Course Developer at Udacity and will be introducing you to Command Line Interface and Shell. Before joining Udacity, Karl was a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Google for eight years, building automation and monitoring to keep the world’s busiest web services online.

Richard Kalehoff

Richard is a Course Developer at Udacity and will be introducing you to Git and Version Control.

** Ruchi Bhanot**

Ruchi is a Course Developer at Udacity with a multidisciplinary academic background, including statistics, psychology and learning sciences. Previously, she worked as a data analyst and researcher in the education field.
